Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Technical Director, Project Management for the Mid-Atlantic South Region. The role is hybrid with in-office presence in Baltimore, Washington DC, or Herndon and involves managing major transportation programs with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include budget control, schedules, risk management, and client communications. Candidates should have a PM certification and 12+ years in transportation PM, with a strong leadership record.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or related discipline.
• 12+ years post-education experience with 5+ years in transportation projects.
• Proficient understanding of project delivery in A/E/C and strong PM background.
• PM certification or equivalent experience (e.g., PMP, CAP-M).
• Analytical and organizational skills with business acumen for decision making.

Responsibilities

• Support major transportation programs and projects.
• Oversee cross-functional teams to execute project work, including budgets, hours, expenses, and contractual obligations.
• Assist in development of proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans.
• Support budget development, ETCs, and invoicing.
• Assist with change management, QA/QC, and quality metrics.
