Job summary

Technology Partners is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant/Business Consultant to join our retail technology practice in St. Louis.

You will translate business needs into technical solutions, support configurations, testing, and integrations across enterprise applications. In this 6-month contract with potential for extension, you will collaborate with IT and business stakeholders, design API integrations, analyze data flows, and help stabilize systems post go-live.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to gather and understand business processes, requirements, and technology needs.
• Provide functional and technical support for retail planning and replenishment processes.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical solution specifications.
• Support configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production activities for retail applications.
• Assist with API development and system integrations, analyzing data flows and coordinating integration efforts.
• Investigate application and integration issues through root-cause analysis and implement timely resolutions.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and partners to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
• Support implementation activities including testing, deployment, and stabilization post-go-live.
• Participate in solution discussions, evaluating options based on feasibility, impact, and alignment with business needs.
• Document functional requirements, technical specifications, and support operational procedures.
• Aid business users during testing and validation phases to ensure successful implementation.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, system functionality, data quality, and operational efficiency.
• Share knowledge with team members and provide guidance to newer staff members as needed.

What You Will Be Doing

As a key member of the retail technology team, you will collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable technical solutions. You will support system configurations, testing, integration, and deployment activities throughout the project lifecycle. You will assist with API and application integrations by analyzing data flows and coordination requirements. Additionally, you will investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support post-go-live stabilization efforts to ensure ongoing system stability. Your role involves participating in solution discussions, developing documentation, and sharing best practices to help optimize existing processes and system functionality. This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for extension or conversion.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-5+ years of experience supporting retail technology, enterprise applications, or related fields.
• Experience working in retail planning processes and associated software tools.
• Proven experience participating in enterprise software implementations and supporting applications through testing, deployment, and post-go-live operations.
• Strong background in application integration and API design/development.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Driver's License.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience working in retail supply chain or merchandising domains.
• Advanced certifications related to enterprise systems or project methodologies.
• Familiarity with retail planning tools or data management platforms.

Pay

$43.75 - $62.50 /hr
