System Soft Technologies seeks a Technical Communications & Creative Services Specialist for a 12+ month contract, onsite in Jackson, MS. You will partner with communications staff, PMs, and technical teams to craft clear, on-brand communications and documentation that support agency priorities and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong writing, editing, and visual communication skills, plus hands-on experience with design and collaboration tools. Remote work is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7+ years in communications roles.
• Strong writing, editing, and visual communication abilities across platforms.
• Experience with internal documentation, process optimization, and collaboration.
• Proficient with office suites, design tools, and collaboration platforms.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with communications staff, PMs, BAs, architects, developers, QA and vendors.
• Deliver communications aligned with brand guidelines, project requirements, and regulations.
• Support information delivery and project outcomes for agency priorities.
• Manage independent and team-based tasks with strong organization and timely delivery.

Description of the job functions the contractor will be expected to perform.

This role will collaborate with Communications staff, project managers, business analysts, system architects, technical developers, quality assurance teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver effective communications and project outcomes aligned with agency priorities, brand guidelines, project requirements, and applicable federal regulations.

Required Skills/Experience

Provide the minimum required skills and/or experience the contractor must possess to qualify for this position.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field (such as Information Services, English, Communications, etc.)
• Effective communication, organizational, and time management skills. 7+ years
• Strong writing, editing, and visual communication skills; adaptive style for different platforms and audiences. 7+ years
• Proficiency in process optimization and internal documentation. 7 years
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. 7 years
• Professional experience in graphic design, digital media, or communications. 5-7 years
• Tools: Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Workfront, Google Workspace, Smartsheet,Confluence, Lucidchart, SAP Business Network. 5-7 years
