Job summary

SGS is seeking an Associate Technical Client Manager in the United States to liaise between major clients and the laboratory, manage quotes, and coordinate meetings. You will provide technical guidance, respond to enquiries, and help scope and propose project work while ensuring timely sample handling and high service quality.

The role requires a Pharamcy/related science background with 3+ years lab experience and 2+ years in customer contact, plus strong negotiation and communication skills to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, or related science.
• 3+ years experience as a scientist in a lab environment.
• 2+ years experience in a customer contact role preferred.
• Regulatory Affairs and Pharmaceutical development knowledge with emphasis on CMC.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills; ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between select major clients and the laboratory.
• Prepare and oversee responses to smaller project quotes.
• Schedule teleconferences and meetings, run agendas and minutes for scoping and quoting.
• Provide technical support and advice to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Respond to enquiries and record details in the request tracking tool.
• Provide technical support for the Business Development Team.
• Work with operations and sales to scope and prepare client proposals.
• Notify operations of incoming samples after receipt of quotes or contracts.
• Participate in client kick-off meetings for large projects to hand over to project manager.
• Follow up with customers to ensure receipt of samples per contract.
• Communicate client needs to the project manager and operations staff.
• Manage daily client interactions before samples arrive.
• Act as the voice of the customer in the lab and manage service-quality complaints.
• Resolve sample/documentation/methodology issues prior to booking testing.
• Pass new opportunities to BD group for development.
• Mentor Client Services Associates; provide backup when needed.
• Comply with GMP, GLP & ISO standards where involved.
