Job summary

SGS is seeking a client liaison to act as a bridge between clients, laboratory management and department personnel. You will resolve client service issues and provide technical support to clients and lab staff, ensuring timely, quality responses and strict ISO 17025 compliance.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Food Science, Microbiology or closely related field; or equivalent work experience preferred.
• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Effective problem prevention and problem-solving skills required.
• Written and verbal communication skills necessary across disciplines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
• Proficiency with LIMS and Client Portal systems required.
• Ability to interact with clients, affiliates and employees professionally under stress.
• 1+ years of laboratory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality and timely response to internal and external client inquiries and requests.
• Communicate results problems and discrepancies to clients and follow issues through to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Track and trend client data as required.
• Identify client concerns, complaints, and trends and recommend changes to accommodate client needs.
• Set up new client accounts in LIMS and create required documents for sample submission for new clients.
• Maintain records of all client communications and requirements.
• Notify laboratory of special client requirements and monitor for compliance.
• Ensure compliance to ISO 17025 standards are maintained.
