Job summary

SGS is seeking an Associate Technical Client Manager (Pharmaceutical) in the United States. The role bridges major clients with the chemistry lab, overseeing quotes, coordinating teleconferences, and delivering technical guidance to ensure client satisfaction.

You will drive proposals, manage sample flow, and mentor junior staff while upholding GMP/GLP/ISO considerations. The position is full-time, hourly pay USD 29–36, with duties covering client relations, project scoping, and cross-team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry highly preferred.
• 3+ years experience as a scientist in a lab environment or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in a customer/client contact position preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Regulatory Affairs and Pharmaceutical development with emphasis on CMC.
• Strong negotiation, communication, customer relation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with entrepreneurial attitude.
• Ability to multi-task to meet sample turnaround time and client needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between select major clients and the laboratory for the chemistry division.
• Prepare and oversee responses to smaller project quotes.
• Schedule teleconferences and meetings, run meetings, and document agendas/minutes.
• Provide technical support and advice to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Respond to enquiries via phone, web, or email; log details in tracking tool.
• Support Business Development with technical input for proposals.
• Coordinate with operations and sales to scope and prepare client proposals.
• Notify operations on incoming samples after quotes are signed.
• Participate in client kick-off meetings for large projects.
• Follow up to ensure receipt of samples per contract.
• Communicate client needs to project managers and staff.
• Manage daily client interactions and act as voice of the customer in the lab.
• Resolve sample/documentation/methodology issues with the client prior to testing.
• Flag new opportunities to BD and mentor Client Services Associates.
