Job summary

Jonus Group is seeking a Technical Claim Manager to join our professional services team. This role handles complex, multi-party professional liability claims involving architects, engineers, and surveyors, spanning nationwide coverage.

You will lead expert analysis, manage attorneys, and coordinate with insureds, claimants, and underwriters to drive timely resolutions and proactive risk transfer. Occasional mediations and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or related field required; JD preferred.
• 8+ years of legal or insurance experience, with design professional claims.
• Strong ability to investigate, manage attorneys, and transfer risk.
• Travel ability for mediations and conferences.

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Claim Manager to join a professional services group. In this role, you will handle complex, multi-party professional liability claims involving architects, engineers, and surveyors. Will be responsible for managing claims across a nationwide coverage area, requiring strategic thinking, detailed investigation, and effective attorney management. Compensation Package

• Base Salary Range: $115,778 - $168,746 per year + bonus opportunities

Qualifications/Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, insurance, or a related field. A Juris Doctorate with relevant insurance defense litigation experience is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant legal or insurance-related experience, with meaningful experience handling design professional claims under professional liability policies.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of case law, statutes, and procedures impacting claims handling.
  • Proficiency in proactive investigation, risk transfer, claim handling, attorney management, and claims resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
• Ability to travel as needed for mediations and settlement conferences.
