Job summary

Bellwether Staffing Solutions is recruiting a Complex Claims A&E Professional. This role can be fully remote or hybrid in-office two days if located near an office. The Complex Claims Specialist will manage mid to high-severity primary A&E Professional Liability claims through resolution.

The role oversees all facets of the claims and litigation process, including collaborating with both external and internal stakeholders. 135K–155K base plus bonus and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in Professional Liability and/or A&E claims handling.
• Strong leadership during litigation and negotiation experience.
• Advanced coverage knowledge for professional claims.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical capabilities and ability to drive settlements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze claim documentation and filings to develop coverage analyses.
• Handle and resolve complex claims through litigation, mediation, and settlements.
• Support defense strategies by applying litigation best practices.
• Investigate, negotiate, and use alternative dispute resolution when appropriate.
• Identify emerging exposures and trends and maintain accurate claim files.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and review claim documentation, legal filings and draft coverage analysis.
• Handle and resolve complex claims, including mediation, settlement conferences and manage all stages of litigation.
• Drive litigation best practices to support defense strategies on litigated matters.
• Apply expert knowledge and experience to achieve favorable claim outcomes through investigation, negotiation, and alternative dispute resolution methods.
• Identify emerging exposures and trends.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive claim files in compliance with company policy and relevant regulations.

Requirements

• Must have experience in Professional Liability and/or A&E claims handling.
• Demonstrated success in positively influencing complex claim outcomes through thorough investigation, negotiation, and effective leadership during litigation.
• Advanced expertise in coverage related to professional claims.
• Deep understanding of litigation processes and strong negotiation abilities.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced analytical capabilities.
• Capacity to advance product innovation or expand knowledge across business areas through cross‑functional training or projects.
• Exhibits confidence and sound judgment when addressing complex or high‑severity issues with insureds, attorneys, and brokers.
• Experience in attending and leading mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Demonstrates assertiveness and skill in resolving challenging matters involving insureds, attorneys, and brokers.
