RLI Insurance Company is seeking a Technical Claim Manager for its Professional Services Group to handle complex, multi-party professional liability matters involving architects, engineers and surveyors. You will join a collaborative team focused on technical excellence, meticulous investigation, and strategic risk transfer analysis across a nationwide coverage area.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, insurance, or related field plus 8+ years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, insurance, or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant legal or insurance experience or JD with relevant insurance defense litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Proactively handle professional liability claims involving design professional litigation and pre-litigation disputes.
• Assess and analyze coverage issues, issue coverage letters and documentation.
• Complete timely investigations and post appropriate reserves.
• Pursue risk transfer opportunities and manage indemnity/insured issues.
• Handle claims following Best Practices and resolve them timely.
• Travel to and attend mediations or settlement conferences as warranted.
