Job summary

HireRight is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst in Nashville to document and refine technical and operational workflows across the organization. You will interview SMEs, map processes, and translate business needs into clear requirements for software and AI-driven systems.

You’ll collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure documentation remains accurate as systems evolve, and help standardize workflows to scale operations while maintaining compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Strong experience documenting workflows and business processes.
• Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in an agile environment.
• Ability to create process maps, requirements docs, and workflow diagrams.
• Comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience documenting legacy systems or modernization projects (preferred).
• Experience in regulated industries such as aviation, healthcare, background screening, or financial services (preferred).
• Basic understanding of APIs, integrations, databases, and software development processes.

Responsibilities

• Document technical and operational workflows across departments for software design.
• Interview SMEs, operations staff, and engineering to gather requirements.
• Create process maps, SOPs, diagrams, and workflow documentation.
• Identify inefficiencies, gaps, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities.
• Translate business processes into clear functional requirements for software/AI systems.
• Organize and maintain centralized documentation repositories.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to keep docs accurate as systems evolve.
• Support process standardization initiatives and automation projects.
• Assist backlog refinement and sprint planning with documentation input.
• Prepare executive-friendly summaries and presentations of processes and improvements.
