Job summary

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES seeks a Technical Business Development Manager to expand our Northern California client base from the San Francisco area with travel and remote work as needed.

The role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering background, a CA-PE is preferred, and at least 5 years in engineering, construction, or technical sales. You will partner with engineering and construction teams to deliver solutions and grow the strengthening pipeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering or equivalent.
• PE license in CA preferred; strong communication skills essential.
• Minimum 5 years in engineering, construction, or technical sales.
• Experience with structural engineering community and GC firms is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering training presentations to clients and industry groups.
• Support meetings, calls, and emails to develop new and existing client relationships.
• Liaise between in-house engineering and structural engineers for design support.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and project review calls with clients.
• Maintain CRM pipeline and update contact database; travel ~50%.
