Reporting To

Sales Support Manager


Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will develop technical and commercial tenders for Critical Power products and solutions. Tender requests may include opportunities in North America and US-based cross-pole transactions. This requires an in-depth understanding of ABB's Critical Power offerings and potential solutions. The work model is remote (Li-Remote), with flexibility in location; preferred locations are Richmond, VA, and Dallas, TX. You will contribute to the Electrification Smart Power division and be mainly responsible for:

  1. Managing tenders and deal risk reviews within the Risk Review database.
  2. Developing timely, comprehensive, and professional proposals for ATS, UPS, STS, and PDU, focusing on proposal volume, on-time delivery, hit-rate/win-rate, and profitability.
  3. Interpreting drawings, data sheets, and specifications to understand and adhere to design intent.
  4. Maintaining relationships and negotiating with key vendor partners and internal ABB factories.
  5. Collaborating closely with Sales Managers, Reps, Commercial Operations, and strategic customers to understand CTQs and develop executable proposals.
Qualifications for the Role
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college is preferred; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in contract negotiation or technical sales.
  • Minimum 5+ years of project quotation experience.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in the electrical equipment industry.

The position's salary range is approximately $98,700 to $183,300 annually, plus bonus eligibility.
