Job summary

Forge Search is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to provide technical product and application support to customers and internal teams. You will work closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to understand applications and propose engineered solutions.

You will troubleshoot technical issues, support quotations, product comparisons, trials, and project evaluations, and communicate product capabilities and benefits to customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 2-5 years of experience in applications engineering, technical service, sales engineering, product support, or related industrial environment.
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, CAD models, tolerances, and specifications.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Exposure to ISO, DIN, EN standards or similar quality systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource for engineered products, mechanical components, and manufacturing applications.
• Evaluate customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and application solutions.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, CAD models, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing documentation.
• Advise customers on product selection, installation, operation, and optimization.
• Apply relevant industry standards and specifications, including ISO, DIN, EN, and other applicable standards.
