Runbiz is seeking a Technical Alignment Manager in Amarillo, Texas, who will develop and maintain technical relationships with customers. The ideal candidate will perform best practice reviews and play a key role in ensuring customers are aligned with technology standards.
The position requires strong communication skills, a passion for technology, and the ability to translate technical details for non-technical clients. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field and five years of technical experience.
The essence of the Technical Alignment Manager is to develop a technical relationship with the customer. This is achieved by developing a deep understanding of the customer’s technology environment, implementing best practices, and understanding the business impact thereof. To achieve excellence in this role, the Technical Alignment Manager will need to have a passion for learning, setting, and implementing technology best practices. Furthermore, they must understand the business impact of implementing standards and find their satisfaction in making people’s lives / businesses better through well implemented and efficient technology.
The TAM performs periodic best practice reviews on all of their assigned customers. The result is a technical alignment report that shows where the customer is out of step with best practices and the impact that it has on their business. The TAM then works very closely with the vCIO to determine the most impactful best practices for each of their customers. The TAM is responsible for continually reviewing and implementing best practices for their assigned customers. A successful TAM can be described as an evangelist for standards and alignment for both customers and team members.
