Job summary
Liebherr USA is seeking a Technical Advisor – Retrofit in Newport News, VA to lead technical evaluation, planning, and execution support for retrofit projects on mobile and crawler cranes. You will act as the primary interface among customers, field service, workshop operations, and Liebherr factories to ensure accurate specifications and professional implementation.

Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Heavy Equipment Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with mobile cranes, crawler cranes, heavy equipment, or similar machinery.
- Experience in field service, technical support, engineering, retrofit projects, or equipment commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate retrofit requests and determine technical feasibility.
- Consult customers to identify suitable retrofit solutions.
- Review engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, hydraulic circuits, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate technical inquiries with engineering, retrofit departments, and factory specialists.
- Develop retrofit installation recommendations and procedures.
- Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting in retrofit installations.
