Job description

Maximus is seeking an experienced Technical Adviser to join our team! The Technical Adviser will be responsible for the development and implementation of assigned projects. Responsibilities include technical planning, development, testing, deployment support, and system capability evaluation. The role requires performing high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of complex systems, demanding thorough technical expertise. The adviser will provide day-to-day technical guidance and leadership, acting as a subject matter expert for assigned tasks. Additionally, the role involves supporting technical development, process improvement, specialized studies, and requirement definition.

The adviser exercises authority and oversight over all contractor engineering and system development phases related to JCC2-R systems and capabilities. This position serves as the primary contact with the PMO regarding technical development and requirement decomposition. Typical duties include leading technical analysis and planning, reviewing requirements documents, developing procedures, and creating functional architectures, among other technical and managerial responsibilities. Expertise in the relevant specialty area is required.

This position is contingent upon award and requires an active TS/SCI clearance. It is remote but may require occasional travel to San Antonio, TX, or Baltimore, MD, as requested.

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

1. 10 years of experience in the relevant functional area. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; a master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
2. 10 years of full-stack software development experience in object-oriented and scripting languages, with proficiency in DevSecOps, microservices, and containers.
3. At least five (5) years’ experience working with DoD COCOM and other Service Cyber Components.
4. At least five (5) years’ experience with DoD Force Readiness requirements related to training and development (people, assets, & infrastructure).
5. Experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting system tests to verify operability and compliance.
6. 5 years’ experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira).
7. 5 years’ experience testing web-based applications.
8. TS/SCI clearance is required.
9. Practical experience with Restful interfaces and commands.
10. Experience developing and deploying software in a cloud environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments.
