Role Description

Reporting to the Head of Business Development and Commercialisation, the AI & Cell Therapy Business Development Technical Specialist is a perceptive scientist who sees the big picture and helps drive business development by ensuring the technical accuracy of our offer, troubleshooting solutions, and providing customer-focused leadership with internal research and development teams. This role requires an approachable communicator who understands that cell therapy process development involves grit and will leverage industry relationships and emotional intelligence to convert CellVoyant AI concepts into profitable customer offerings.

Responsibilities

1. Technology Development and Research Services: Collaborate with biology and computational R&D teams to refine scientific accuracy and feasibility of cell characterization software features and biological research services. This involves leadership and hands-on work to ensure successful execution.
2. Customer Problem Analysis: Inquisitively troubleshoot customer cell therapy development challenges solvable with AI and advanced morphology analytics. Articulate well-written, concise planned actions, often despite limited information and varying urgency, advising caution when appropriate and sometimes recommending not to proceed.
3. Communication and Community: Simplify or deepen understanding of AI Cell Therapy scientific concepts for broad audiences. Proactively engage with thought leaders at conferences and within the cell therapy community to build credibility and momentum, driving conversations toward new and innovative ideas for publications and publicity.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a biology discipline related to cell therapy.
• Keen understanding of AI through formal education or self-guided learning.
• At least two years of business development, sales, or support experience within the GMP space of the biopharmaceutical industry.

Nice to Have

• Advanced degree in computer science or advanced knowledge of computer vision, data collection, and microscopy imaging.
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python), cloud infrastructure (e.g., Google Cloud), software (e.g., GitHub, Docker), ML model design, and scientific libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas).
