Job summary

Astrana Health, a fast-growing healthcare company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Technical Accounting team. This role focuses on US GAAP research, policy documentation, acquisition accounting, and maintaining internal controls in a high-growth environment.

You will prepare technical memos, support ASC 805, 810, and 606 areas, and work with Audit, Finance, and Legal to ensure accurate disclosures and robust controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required or actively in progress.
• 3+ years of accounting experience with emphasis on technical accounting or auditing SEC registrants.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP including ASC 805, ASC 810, ASC 606.
• Experience preparing or assisting with technical accounting memoranda and supporting documentation.
• Strong research and writing skills—ability to synthesize complex guidance into clear, well-supported conclusions.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Research and draft technical accounting memoranda applying US GAAP guidance.
• Maintain accounting policy manual and monitor new FASB/SEC pronouncements.
• Support acquisition accounting under ASC 805 and related allocations.
• Assist consolidation analysis including VIE assessments and NCI documentation.
• Maintain and update technical accounting checklists and prepare audit support.
• Collaborate with Controllership, SEC Reporting, FP&A, and Legal to gather inputs and communicate conclusions clearly.
