Job summary

Astrana Health, located in Alhambra, CA, is seeking a Senior Accountant for its Technical Accounting team to advance US GAAP research, policy documentation, and acquisition accounting across the enterprise.

You will draft technical memos, support consolidation and reporting efforts, and help maintain internal controls in a fast‑growing, public healthcare company. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required or actively in progress
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting with emphasis on technical accounting or auditing SEC registrants
• Strong research and writing skills — ability to synthesize complex guidance into clear, well‑supported conclusions

Responsibilities

• Research and draft technical accounting memoranda on complex, non-routine transactions, applying US GAAP guidance and documenting conclusions
• Maintain and update the accounting policy manual; monitor new FASB/SEC pronouncements
• Support ASC 805 acquisition accounting, including PPA, opening balance sheets, contingent consideration, and measurement-period adjustments
• Assist with consolidation analyses for entities via management services agreements and VIE/NCI documentation
• Prepare supporting documentation for accounting positions for external audits and regulatory reviews
• Collaborate with Controllership, SEC Reporting, FP&A, and Legal to align accounting conclusions across the organization
