About The Job

Red Hat's Technical Services team seeks an enterprise engineer with a background in automation technologies to join remotely in the U.S. Eastern or Central Time Zone. You will partner with key enterprise customers to provide architectural guidance and implementation advice for the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. Your role involves acting as a liaison between customers, Red Hat, and internal teams, facilitating communication, coordination, and collaboration to ensure successful implementation and optimization of solutions. This position requires technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.

What You Will Do

  • Support enterprise customers implementing Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform solutions.
  • Serve as the primary advocate for customers within Red Hat, facilitating communication across teams.
  • Deliver updates on Red Hat portfolio roadmap and assist with product upgrades and implementations.
  • Stay current with new technologies like container orchestration, microservices, and automation environments.
  • Provide expertise on Ansible Automation Platform's implementation and use.
  • Conduct technical reviews to identify and prevent issues, sharing knowledge across teams.
  • Understand customer infrastructures, environments, hardware, and product usage.
  • Respond to support requests via various channels.
  • Offer strategic advice on Red Hat products and solutions.
  • Manage customer cases with clear documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, R&D, product management, and support teams.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Build and grow customer relationships through attentive support.
  • Visit customer sites as needed to ensure excellent service.

What You Will Bring

  • Experience in technical support, software development, engineering, or QA.
  • Extensive knowledge of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and similar tools like Chef, Puppet, SaltStack.
  • Experience with configuration management, application deployment, and orchestration technologies.
  • Ability to manage and develop customer relationships proactively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
  • Capability to handle multiple issues and projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • Residence within the U.S. Central or Eastern Time Zone.
  • Background in software engineering; experience with RPM-based Linux technologies.
  • Experience with Linux system administration, preferably RHEL.
  • Experience with DevOps, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud deployment a plus.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and source code management tools like Git or SVN is desirable.

Salary range: $94,550 - $151,170, based on qualifications.
