Job summary

Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, seeks a 3rd to 5th year associate for the Technology Transactions & Licensing Practice in our San Diego or Portland office. The successful candidate will advise on commercial and licensing agreements, IP matters, and product counseling for software, cloud services, AI, and hardware.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience at a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Deep knowledge of intellectual property and commercial contract law, especially relating to software, hardware, and digital assets.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR) and open source license frameworks.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and team-oriented approach.
