Job summary

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time opportunity for a 3rd to 5th year associate in the Technology Transactions & Licensing Practice of our San Diego, Los Angeles, or Portland office. The candidate will advise on commercial and licensing agreements, IP matters, and product counseling for cloud computing, software, hardware, and AI-related deals.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience at a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Deep knowledge of intellectual property and commercial contract law, especially software/hardware/digital assets.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations (CCPA, GDPR) and open source licenses.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on commercial and licensing agreements and related IP matters.
• Counsel on cloud computing products/services, software, and AI-related issues.
• Draft, negotiate, and review complex technology licenses and commercial contracts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage multiple client demands in a fast-paced environment.
