Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Tech Training Specialist I with our large power and utilities client in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00/hr;W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Description:
- This position serves as a subject matter expert in the use, administration, and optimization of the Learning Management System for PGO technical training, progression, and continuing education programs.
- The role requires demonstrated proficiency using Cornerstone LMS, including the ability to configure, maintain, validate, troubleshoot, and support LMS functionality to ensure training programs are delivered accurately, consistently, and in alignment with business and compliance requirements.
- As the LMS SME, this position partners with internal stakeholders to provide guidance, reporting, documentation, and system support that enables effective training execution and continuous improvement.
PGO Training Spec - LMS Super User
This position provides support for the development, delivery, evaluation, and continual maintenance of PGO technical training, progression and continuing education programs. This role facilitates the successful execution of training initiatives by collaborating with internal stakeholders and ensuring the seamless setup of the learning management system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serves as the LMS super user for PGO enterprise-wide training.
- Utilizes effective communication to provide LMS leadership.
- Develops custom reports and analytics.
- Provides general training and program support.
- The role requires strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to present creative solutions and understand how to orient tasks to create efficient workflow within the parameters established by the PGO organization.
Responsibilities:
- 60%: Serves as the LMS super user for PGO enterprise-wide training. Creates, maintains and executes a schedule of LMS configuration changes, validation and maintenance tasks to ensure seamless delivery of PGO courses and programs. Performs quality assurance testing on all pre and post application implementations. Provides LMS technical support and advanced troubleshooting.
- 20%: Utilizes effective communication to provide LMS leadership. Enhances learning by effectively communicating and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure the optimal and standard use of LMS tools. Develops and maintains current documentation for the LMS portfolio and leads LMS change initiatives within the training organization. Provides LMS permissions and training to LMS Administrators. Acts as a liaison between PGO and other Training groups.
- 10%: Develops custom reports and analytics. Creates custom reports for stakeholders monitoring and evaluating course effectiveness. Their reporting can include completion rates, test score trends, and participants' feedback. Through these analytics, super users can detect areas for improvement.
- 10%: Provides general training and program support. Support, develop, and maintain SharePoint sites and Portal pages that support both internal training specific instructor locations as well as department customer access points. Support of Special Programs. Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objectives of the department
Additional Details Required/Basic Qualifications
- Experience utilizing a Learning Management System in an administrative capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to identify users’ needs, analyze and logically organize and recommend a solution.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple, complex projects; strong project management and follow-up skills; strong ability to multi-task and continually prioritize changing project tasks/deliverables.
- Demonstrated human relations skills, e.g., influencing skills and listening skills, to deal effectively with all levels of management and employees.
- Effective communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented focus.
- Customer service orientated and ability to work in a team environment.
- MS Office proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

- Associate’s Degree
- Five (5) years of experience or equivalent job-related experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficient utilizing e-learning software (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Photoshop, Camtasia, etc.), e-learning design and development methods.
- Ability to recognize the need for new or different systems, programs, or applications and selection of appropriate alternatives to solve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate small to medium groups for workshops and capturing of critical information.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups and presentation.
