Job Summary:

The Training Specialist is responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and managing learning and development programs that support organizational objectives and employee growth. This role serves as a trusted partner to business leaders, subject matter experts, and instructional design teams to identify training needs, maintain learning content, and deliver effective learning solutions. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable, with strong research, problem-solving, and communication skills. They are comfortable working independently, navigating ambiguity, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve training programs, learner experiences, and business processes.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Partner with leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and instructional designers to identify training needs and develop, maintain, and deploy effective learning solutions.
• Research business and process changes to assess training impacts, identify gaps, recommend solutions, and ensure learning materials remain accurate and current.
• Manage learning platforms and resources, including Degreed, Catalyst, and other learning tools to support an exceptional learner experience.
• Monitor training effectiveness through learner feedback, performance metrics, and business input to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Serve as a trusted resource for learners and business partners by providing responsive support, resolving issues, and delivering a high level of customer service.
• Independently manage multiple priorities and projects while maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate across departments to support organizational learning objectives, drive alignment, and address emerging training needs.
• Support change management initiatives and process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance training effectiveness.
• Coordinate, and manage all administrative aspects of the RISE program, including virtual instructor-led training, learning events, communications, marketing, enrollment, assessments, learner support, and live learning sessions.
• Perform additional training-related projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education / Abilities / Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in training, facilitation, instructional design, organizational development, learning and development, or related field.
• Strong understanding of core OSG/FSG positions, functions, processes, and business operations is required.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Strong research, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and manage priorities with limited supervision.
• Adaptable and eager to learn, with the ability to quickly understand new systems, processes, and changing business needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adjust communication style for different audiences.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships, collaborate across teams, and establish credibility with stakeholders.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a learner-focused mindset.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
