Job summary
Northeastern Junior College is seeking a Technical Systems Specialist to install and support desktop and mobile computing hardware, software, and peripherals, while documenting processes and maintaining device inventories. The role includes help desk duties, account management, and portal updates across Windows, macOS, and Android platforms.
Excellent communication is required to support faculty, staff, and students; collaboration with IT teams is essential for project delivery and security
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in technology or a closely related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in computer troubleshooting and support.
- Experience with Windows 11, Apple iOS/OS, Office 365.
- Enterprise networks (LAN/WAN, WiFi 6E/7, Cisco devices).
- Cloud platforms (Azure, M365, Entra ID, Defender, Exchange Online).
- Endpoint management (Intune, Autopilot, Active Directory).
- ITIL practices preferred for IT service management.
Responsibilities
- Install, update, customize, and maintain hardware and software for desktops, notebooks, and peripherals.
- Provide IT Help Desk support for faculty, staff and students.
- Document processes and maintain inventory of hardware and software.
- Manage drive encryption and malware protection; participate in statewide cybersecurity team.
- Create, manage, and maintain user accounts and access.
- Perform web updates for the portal, mobile portal app, and technology website.
