Job summary

TxDOT's Yoakum District is seeking two Intern Support Techs to join the Yoakum District Headquarters in Yoakum, TX. The positions are year-round with openings in the Yoakum Area Office and in Business Services.

The role offers entry-level clerical responsibilities and opportunities to support a large state agency. Minimum qualifications include being a high school student, age 16 or older, and the ability to work onsite with basic office duties and organizational tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be a student in high school or enrolled in college or other educational institution.
• Must be at least 16 years of age and currently enrolled in high school or higher education including trade/vocational schools.

Responsibilities

• Answers the telephone, evaluates requests, answers questions, routes messages, and serves as receptionist or front desk assistant.
• Assists in maintaining confidential information and records.
• Assists in performing inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with general warehousing duties including stocking and issuing materials and maintaining records and warehouse areas.
