Job summary

AVEVA, a global industrial software leader, seeks a Tech Support Engineer II in Houston, TX with hybrid work expectations. This full-time role blends remote troubleshooting with on-site collaboration to deliver fast, accurate technical assistance.

You will onboard, resolve complex issues, mentor teammates, and contribute to product support improvements while maintaining customer satisfaction across Fortune 100 clients.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a technical support, customer-facing technical, or related role.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience owning entire projects or processes and driving improvements to systems, tools, or workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated customer-facing excellence and a service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Complete onboarding and product ramp-up to gain deep familiarity with AVEVA software portfolio and customer environments.
• Own and drive resolution of complex technical issues remotely and on-site as needed.
• Mentor and develop junior team members through knowledge sharing and training.
• Teach customers how to maximize software value via public training classes.
• Analyze support data and trends and communicate insights to account teams and customers.
• Join customer meetings to provide technical guidance and escalation leadership.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, R&D, and Services to improve the customer experience.
• Take ownership of projects or processes within the support organization and implement improvements.
