Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Network Operations Center Engineer in Annapolis, MD for a 12-month contract with possible extension. The role operates on the MID shift (11:00 pm – 7:30 am, Mon-Fri) in a 24/7 NOC environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring, troubleshooting, incident tracking, and coordinating with telecom providers to restore services. Ideal candidates hold Network+ (CCNA preferred), ITIL/ITSM knowledge, and 1–2 years of relevant experience, with AA/AS or HS diploma plus

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree or 2-year post-high school training with 1–2 years of relevant experience OR HS Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience.
• Network+ certification or CCNA preferred.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols and ITIL/ITSM concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting Cisco devices and routing protocols (HSRP/BGP).

Responsibilities

Shift: MID Shift 11:00 pm to 7:30 am: Monday-Friday

Responsibilities

• Monitor network systems, routers, switches, firewalls, circuits, and communication equipment.
• Troubleshoot network, system, and connectivity issues and upscale when needed.
• Track and update incidents in ticketing/incident management tools.
• Work with telecom providers to restore network services.
• Support IP networks, messaging systems, and air-to-ground communication systems.
• Provide technical support and excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Monitor Transport, DataLink, and Application environments.
• Analyze alerts, identify root causes, and resolve operational issues.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while prioritizing critical incidents.
• Participate in network configuration, maintenance, and system performance monitoring.
• Work in a 24/7 NOC environment, including weekends and holidays.

Ideal candidate will have

• Network+ Certification
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols, computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing.
• Knowledge and understanding of ITIL/ITSM concepts and practices.
• Experience troubleshooting Cisco devices.
• Experience with HSRP/BGP routing protocols.
• This position requires an AA/AS degree or other 2-year post-high school training with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience OR HS Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Remedy, Netcool, Office 0365, ServiceNow

Pay Range

Pay Range*: $27.00 to $32.00 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
