Job summary

Innova Solutions is hiring a Systems Engineer in Palm Bay, FL. The role focuses on airworthiness support with a system safety background, emphasizing DO-254 and DO-178 execution. Some training may be provided; background in mechanical, aeronautical, electrical, or software is preferred.

You will generate system safety artifacts, work with Government customers, and document using DOORS/Cameo for verification and validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM field is required.
• Must have DO-178/DO-254 and MIL-STD-882E experience.
• Familiarity with ARP4754/ARP4761 and MIL-HDBK-516.
• Experience conducting hazard analyses and safety assessments.

Responsibilities

• Generate System Safety Program Plans, Hazard Analyses and Safety Assessments per MIL-STD-882E.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to assess interfaces between hardware, software, and performance.
• Work with Government customers to define and implement System Safety requirements for verification and validation.
• Document System Safety artifacts in DOORS and Cameo and present risk assessments at design reviews.

Position Details

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Systems Engineer.

Position Type: Full-Time Contract, Possible Contract to hire.

Duration: 06-12 months.

Location: Palm Bay, FL 32905.

Schedule: 9/80 Reg.

Job Summary

Airworthiness support with a system safety background, primarily DO-254 and D0-178 execution experience. Some training will have to be provided; mechanical, aeronautical, electrical, software background preferred.

Working Knowledge Required

• DO-178 and DO-254 development processes
• ARP4754/ARP4761 and MIL-STD-882E
• MIL-HDBK-516
• USAF Airworthiness Circular 17-01 (AC-17-01)
• Familiarity with reliability assessments such as FMEA, FMECA, FTA, FRACAS and RCCA

Typical Tasks

• Generate System Safety Program Plans, Hazard Analyses and Safety Assessment Reports IAW MIL-STD-882E
• Consult with other engineering staff to evaluate interfaces between hardware, software, and operational performance requirements of the overall system
• Work closely with Government customers to ensure that the System Safety requirements are defined and implemented in a way that will allow for the verification and validation of the system
• Ability to internalize requirements definition and document System Safety artifacts in DOORS and/or Cameo
• Present system safety risk assessment at Customer design review meetings

Employment Eligibility

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

Pay Range

Pay Range*: Between $60 - $65 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
