Job summary

Innova Solutions is hiring a NOC Technician for the Annapolis, Maryland area on a full-time/contract basis. The role involves monitoring network systems, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with telecom providers to restore services.

The ideal candidate has Network+ (CCNA preferred), ITIL familiarity, and experience with Cisco devices. This is a 12-month contract with possible extension, working MID shift (11:00 pm–7:30 am).

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree or 2 years of relevant experience.
• HS Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Cisco devices.
• ITIL/ITSM concepts familiarity.
• Remedy/Netcool/ServiceNow knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track incidents in ticketing tools and update accordingly.

Innova Solutions is immediately hiring aNOC Technician

• Position type: Full-time, Contract
• Duration: 12 months, with possible extension
• Location: Annapolis, Maryland 21401
• Shift: MID Shift 11:00 pm to 7:30 am: Monday-Friday

As a Network Operations Center Technician/ NOC Technician, you will:

• Monitor network systems, routers, switches, firewalls, circuits, and communication equipment.
• Troubleshoot network, system, and connectivity issues and elevate when needed.
• Track and update incidents in ticketing/incident management tools.
• Work with telecom providers to restore network services.
• Support IP networks, messaging systems, and air-to-ground communication systems.
• Provide technical support and excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Monitor Transport, DataLink, and Application environments.
• Analyze alerts, identify root causes, and resolve operational issues.
• Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while prioritizing critical incidents.
• Participate in network configuration, maintenance, and system performance monitoring.
• Work in a 24/7 NOC environment, including weekends and holidays.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Network+ Certification
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols, computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing.
• Knowledge and understanding of ITIL/ITSM concepts and practices.
• Experience troubleshooting Cisco devices.
• Experience with HSRP/BGP routing protocols.
• This position requires an AA/AS degree or other 2-year post-high school training with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience OR
• HS Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• CCNA Certification
• Knowledge of Remedy, Netcool, Office 0365, ServiceNow

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $27.00 to $32.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
