Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a Tech Shop Department Manager to lead the tech team, oversee on-site repairs, and deliver exceptional customer service on campus retail floors.

You will stay current on technology trends, mentor staff, and ensure proper merchandising and loss-prevention practices while maintaining a dynamic store environment. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 2-year experience as a computer repair technician; equivalent education and experience considered.
• A+ and/or Apple certification or ability to achieve within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for in-shop repair of computers and peripherals.
• Supervise Tech team members and ensure top-tier customer service.
• Maintain store merchandising and loss-prevention procedures.
• Engage with customers to explain and assist with technology purchases.
• Schedule and assign tasks to team to cover multiple projects.
