Job summary

Avantor seeks an Associate Counsel, Technology and Indirect Sourcing, to support cloud, SaaS, and digital platforms. You will draft, review, and negotiate IT and vendor agreements, working closely with IT, Privacy, Sourcing and Sales teams to enable strategic technology deployment.

The role requires JD, bar admission, 5–10 years' experience in law firms or corporate settings, and the ability to translate technical concepts for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• JD required from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in at least one US State or DC.
• Meets local legal license requirements.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and revise agreements including form agreements for routine sales activities and non-standard contracts.
• Learn Avantor contracting policies and analyze draft contracts according to policies.
• Advise on IT vendor agreements and digital product contracting with cross-functional teams.
• Develop playbooks and templates for consistent legal review across IT, security engagements and tech agreements.
• Assist with data processing agreements and ensure alignment with IT and business strategies.
• Coordinate contract negotiations across departments and obtain internal approvals.
