Job summary

Avantor is seeking an Associate Counsel, Technology and Indirect Sourcing, to support legal matters related to cloud technology, digital platforms, and SaaS transactions. The role collaborates with IT, Privacy, Sourcing and Sales teams to enable technology use.

You will draft and negotiate IT vendor agreements, participate in policy development, and help scale Avantor’s contracting playbooks while ensuring alignment with business strategies and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal dept.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into practical legal guidance for cross-functional teams.
• Experience providing timely and strategic legal advice.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and revise agreements including routine and non-standard IT/tech contracts.
• Advise on complex IT vendor agreements and digital product contracting.
• Develop playbooks and templates for consistent legal review across IT and technology agreements.
• Review data processing agreements and ensure IT alignment with business strategies.
• Coordinate cross-departmental contract negotiations and obtain internal approvals.
