Job summary
Avantor is seeking an Associate Counsel to join the Technology and Indirect Sourcing legal team, focusing on cloud technology, digital platforms and SaaS transactions. The role supports licensing and tech vendor agreements enterprise-wide, partnering with IT, Privacy, Sourcing and Sales to enable technology use.
You will draft and negotiate complex IT contracts, help develop playbooks and templates, and ensure alignment with business strategy while delivering practical legal guidance across
Qualifications
- JD required from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law and in good standing with the bar of at least one US State or the District of Columbia.
- Meets local legal license requirements.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and revise agreements including form agreements for routine sales activities and non-standard agreements for customers, suppliers, distributors, clinical, service and consulting agreements.
- Advise on IT vendor agreements and digital product contracting efforts.
- Develop and support playbooks and templates for consistent legal review across IT, security engagements and technology agreements.
- Assist with review of data processing agreements.
- Coordinate contract negotiation with cross-departmental functions.
- Obtain internal approvals for contract terms and provisions.
