Job summary

EY USA invites applications for the Technology Risk Intern - Summer 2027 within the Assurance practice. You will gain broad exposure to IT risk, controls, and audit processes while working in a hybrid environment across multiple US locations.

This internship is designed to build foundational IT audit skills through structured expeditions and client-facing experiences. You will collaborate with EY professionals to analyze client information systems, document processes, and support SOC and ITGC

Qualifications

• Undergrad or graduate degree in Accounting, Information Systems or related discipline.
• Pursue CPA, CISA, CISSP, CA certifications.
• GPA 3.0+; preference for 3.2+.
• Interest in a team-led hybrid work model (40–60% in person).
• Desire to work in IT audit via coursework or internship experience.
• Willingness to travel and work outside standard hours as needed.
• Reliable transportation; driver's license recommended.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• U.S. citizenship for Government & Infrastructure sector; ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Understand and document clients' business and IT processes, risks, and controls.
• Perform control documentation and testing through review of client evidence and interviews.
• Plan engagement timelines and assign responsibilities for key tasks.
• Monitor project progress and keep stakeholders informed about progress and outcomes.
• Create flowcharts and process documentation for relevant processes.
• Perform SOC reports, third‑party risk assessments, ITGC design and SOX-related audits.
