Job summary

EY USA is offering a Summer 2027 intern position in Assurance Technology Risk across multiple California locations and other US offices. You will gain exposure to IT risk, controls testing, and client-facing activities within a structured program designed to map your career path in assurance and risk services.

The role emphasizes hands‑on learning, collaboration, and time in client environments. A relevant degree and pursuit of professional certifications are encouraged, with hybrid work options

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting or Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Desire and educational requirements to pursue a CPA, CISA, CISSP or CA certification.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 (prefer 3.2 or higher).
• Willingness to travel and work extra hours when needed.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Understand clients' business and IT processes, risks, and controls.
• Document controls and perform testing with client evidence and interviews.
• Plan engagements, assign tasks, and prepare planning documents with the team.
• Monitor project progress and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Create process flowcharts and documentation for relevant processes.
• Contribute to SOC reports, third‑party risk assessments, IT risk and control design as part of SOX audits.
