Job summary

EY is offering a Summer 2027 internship in USA - Assurance - Technology Risk within the 360 Careers program. The role focuses on documenting and testing IT controls, risk assessment, and collaboration with engagement teams across multiple EY offices.

Ideal for students pursuing accounting or information systems degrees and certifications. You’ll gain hands-on experience with SOC reports, IT risk frameworks, and client engagements while developing professional skills in a hybrid work environment

Qualifications

• Have or be working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Desire and educational requirements to pursue a relevant certification (CPA, CISA, CISSP, CA).
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale); preference for 3.2 or higher.
• Interest in a hybrid external client-serving role with in-person work 40-60% of the time.
• Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary; driver's license recommended.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance for Government & Infrastructure work.

Responsibilities

• Understand and document clients’ business and IT processes, risks, and controls.
• Perform control documentation and testing through review of client evidence and interviews.
• Collaborate with engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work program timelines.
• Monitor and manage project progress and risks, and keep stakeholders informed about progress and outcomes.
• Create flowcharts and process documentation for relevant processes.
• Contribute to SOC reports, third-party risk assessments, IT risk and control framework design, and ITGC/SOX audits.
