Job summary

EY USA is offering a Summer 2027 internship in Technology Risk within Assurance. You will gain exposure to IT audit, risk assessment, and client engagement work across various government, financial services, and industry sectors.

You will document and test controls, collaborate with the team to plan engagements, and develop process documentation while pursuing relevant certifications and a hybrid work model. This internship provides foundational skills for a career in IT risk and assurance.

Qualifications

• Be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Desire to pursue CPA, CISA, CISSP or CA certification.
• Maintain a minimum GPA; preference for higher GPA.
• Interest in working in a hybrid client-serving role with travel expectations.
• Demonstrate interest in IT audit via coursework, internships or projects.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Understand and document clients’ business and IT processes, risks, and controls.
• Perform control documentation and testing through review of client evidence and interviews.
• Collaborate with engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work program timelines.
• Monitor and manage project progress and risks, keeping stakeholders informed.
• Create flowcharts and process documentation for relevant processes.
• Perform assignments including SOC reports, third-party risk assessments, ITGCs within SOX/audits.
