Job summary

EY seeks an intern for Summer 2027 in the USA Assurance - Technology Risk 360 Careers program. You will explore IT risk, control testing, and SOC/ITGC activities while engaging with client teams across multiple locations. This opportunity combines learning with hands-on experience in a hybrid work environment.

You will gain exposure to information systems controls, risk assessment, and professional development within EY’s global Assurance practice.

Qualifications

• Have or be working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Desire and educational requirements to pursue a relevant certification (CPA, CISA, CISSP, CA).
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required, with preference for 3.2 or higher.
• Hybrid work model, with most in-person collaboration 40-60% of the time.
• Desire to work in IT audit with related coursework, interest or internship experience.
• Willingness to travel and work extra hours when needed; access to reliable transportation is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Understand and document clients’ business and IT processes, risks, and controls.
• Perform control documentation and testing through review of client evidence and interviews.
• Collaborate with engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work program timelines.
• Monitor and manage project progress and risks, keeping stakeholders informed.
• Create flowcharts and process documentation for relevant processes.
• Perform tasks including System and Organization Controls, third-party risk assessments, IT risk and control design and assessments of ITGCs as part of SOX/audits.
