Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking an Risk Consulting Intern to work with diverse middle‑market clients across industries. You’ll gain hands‑on client experience, under a Performance Advisor, while supporting technology risk management and assurance initiatives.

The internship targets students pursuing a BA/BS with a 3.0+ GPA, open to accounting or information systems majors, with some travel to client sites and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing at least a BA/BS degree from an accredited university.
• Expected degree completion by December 2027 or June 2028.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Majors in Accounting or Information Systems or related.
• Willingness to travel to assigned client locations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Certification or working towards CPA, CISA, CIA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on TRC projects including SOX/regulatory and IT controls.
• Assist in design and optimization of internal controls.
• Engage with client leadership on strategies to address technology risks.
• Create internal control documentation to support engagements.
• Gain hands-on client experience with access to business owners and executives.
