Job summary

EY USA is offering a 2027 Summer Intern - Technology Risk within Assurance. You will gain a broad business perspective and learn through EY’s Career Framework, contributing to IT risk assessments and control designs for diverse client engagements.

You will collaborate with EY professionals to analyze information systems, document processes, and support audits, with hybrid in-person and remote work and opportunities to travel as required.

Qualifications

• Pursue undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Information Systems or related field.
• Desire to pursue CPA, CISA, CISSP, or CA certification.
• Minimum GPA 3.0; preference for 3.2 or higher.
• Interest in a hybrid client-facing environment with 40–60% in person work.
• Willingness to travel and work longer hours when needed.
• Valid driver's license recommended for site travel.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Understand and document clients' business and IT processes, risks, and controls.
• Perform control documentation and testing through review of client evidence and interviews.
• Plan engagements and develop work programs with the engagement team.
• Monitor project progress and keep stakeholders informed of outcomes.
• Create flowcharts and process documentation for relevant processes.
• Support SOC, third-party risk assessments, and ITGC assessments as part of SOX/audit.
