Job summary

Piccone IT Consulting, LLC in Shrewsbury is seeking a friendly Retail Cashier to join our PC repair shop. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling payments, and supporting an efficient front-of-house experience.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, checking devices in for service, explaining intake and timelines, and assisting with basic questions about services. Shift flexibility may include daytime, evening, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail, cashiering, or customer service preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills and comfort using point-of-sale systems.
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival.
• Check in customer devices for repair or service following procedures.
• Explain service intake, estimates, and timelines clearly.
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Assist customers with basic questions regarding services, repair status, and store policies.
• Check out customers for completed services or retail purchases.
• Accurately process cash, credit, and other approved payment methods.
• Maintain and balance a cash drawer.
• Open and/or close the store following procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized front-of-house area.
• Communicate customer concerns to technicians or management.
• Daytime, evening, and weekend shifts may be required.
