Job summary

Nectar Communications, a high-performing tech-focused PR agency, seeks an Account Executive to own day-to-day execution for multiple technology client accounts and build strong media relationships. You will craft pitches, manage deadlines, and collaborate across teams to drive earned media results, with opportunities to work on AI-driven storytelling.

Candidates should have 2–3 years of PR/communications experience, strong writing skills, and a proactive, solutions-first approach.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of public relations, communications, or integrated marketing experience.
• Experience supporting technology clients, especially across AI or enterprise tech.
• Proven media relations experience with pitching reporters and earning coverage.
• Strong writing, editing, research and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to connect client priorities to timely news cycles.
• Proactive, ownership-driven approach with deadlines and deliverables.
• Curiosity about technology, media, culture and evolving communications.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day execution across multiple technology client accounts and deadlines.
• Build and maintain relationships with reporters, editors, analysts, and influencers.
• Develop pitches and identify media angles aligned with client priorities and trends.
• Pitch announcements and proactive stories; drive consistent media results.
• Draft and edit pitches, press releases, briefing documents, and social copy.
• Create targeted media lists and research reporters/outlets/trends.
• Monitor news to identify opportunities and risks early.
• Communicate with clients through meetings, email, and Slack, providing updates.
• Prepare executives for media opportunities with briefing materials.
• Collaborate on integrated campaigns across earned/owned/social channels.
