Nectar Communications LLC is seeking an ambitious Assistant Account Executive to join our fast-moving, tech-focused PR team in New York. You will support day-to-day execution across multiple technology accounts, draft compelling pitches, and help build targeted media lists to secure meaningful coverage.

You’ll work with seasoned professionals to grow your media relations skills, contribute creative ideas, and learn how to craft high-impact campaigns for disruptive technology brands.

Qualifications

• Candidates should demonstrate strong writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex tech topics into clear stories.
• Experience researching reporters and building compelling pitches; comfort drafting press materials.
• Knowledge of media relations basics, media lists, and what makes a story newsworthy.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Draft media pitches, press releases, and client-facing content.
• Build and maintain targeted media lists for technology-focused accounts.
• Conduct proactive media outreach and follow-ups to secure coverage.
• Track media coverage and report campaign performance against objectives.
• Prepare briefing documents and talking points for client meetings.
