Job summary

Happen Bank is seeking a People Success Director to partner with our Technology organization, shaping talent initiatives and driving performance, engagement, and team health at scale.

You will lead cross-functional HR programs, coach engineering leaders, and apply AI-enabled tools with emphasis on data integrity and compliance. Hybrid SF location, base 117k–180k USD with equity and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of HR generalist or HR business partner experience.
• Strategic thinker who designs system-wide HR solutions.
• Ownership of outcomes end-to-end in a complex org.
• Strong judgment in ambiguous, high-stakes situations in sensitive people matters.
• Clear, confident senior-leader communication to influence and build trust.
• Knowledge of applying AI to HR with data integrity and compliance.
• Deep HR practices in organizational design, talent development, or performance management.
• Collaborates across functions with a clear point of view.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior technology leaders to assess organizational health and translate insights into people strategies.
• Own cross-functional people initiatives—from design to delivery—across the Technology org.
• Coach managers on performance management, career development, and org effectiveness.
• Design and facilitate development programs for people managers and individual contributors in tech roles.
• Identify opportunities to improve how people work using AI/tools and drive implementation.
• Leverage data analytics to measure program effectiveness and inform decisions.
• Ensure a seamless employee experience across HR programs, aligned with policy and values.
• Serve as SME across HR areas and evolve people practices where needed.
