Job summary

Ramp is building a global Travel platform and seeks a leader to grow the Travel engineering team. You will own delivery across search, inventory, checkout, and policy evaluation, while guiding architecture and ensuring reliability with external APIs and GDS integrations.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, Ops, Partnerships, and Sales to meet enterprise commitments and drive AI-enabled booking capabilities. Relentless ownership and hands-on leadership are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing engineers, team size roughly 5 to 15
• Willing to be hands-on in a six-person team
• Ability to lead design reviews and evaluate architecture proposals
• Strong product judgment and comfort talking to customers
• Owns a transactional system with external dependencies such as booking or payments

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, coach, and grow the Ramp Travel engineering team (~6 engineers today)
• Own delivery across travel management surfaces: search, inventory, checkout, policy evaluation
• Ensure reliability and correctness with third-party integrations (APIs, GDS, TMCs)
• Partner with Product, Design, Ops, Partnerships, and Sales on commitments
• Set team practices for AI-assisted development and agentic booking features
• Hire and grow the team
