Job summary

WeTravel is building the operating system for the multi-day group travel industry, empowering organizers and travelers worldwide. Join us to own features end-to-end, collaborate with product, and deliver scalable, AI-enabled solutions across a modern stack.

You will work in a remote-friendly environment with a focus on impact, collaboration, and engineering excellence, while contributing to a fast-growing platform used by thousands of organizers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience (ideally full-stack) with strong product ownership mindset.
• Proficiency in building consumer-facing user experiences at scale, and expertise with at least one modern web application framework, ideally React/React Native.
• Proficiency with building and maintaining component libraries and working with a design system.
• Experience building distributed systems, microservices and event-driven architecture; strong systems thinking and scalability.
• Experience operating applications in production, monitoring, and on-call responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in multicultural, distributed teams.
• Experience using AI assistants like Cursor, Claude Code or GitHub Copilot for code generation and testing.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and build features end-to-end: from reviewing user interviews and product design, through architecture and building systems to deployment and monitoring in production.
• Partner closely with our product team to discover user problems and shape their solutions.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code across frontend (TypeScript/React) and backend (Ruby on Rails).
• Ensure services are highly available by building resilient applications and handling on-call incidents.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to engineering practices and excellence.
