Job summary

Dialpad is seeking a Tech Lead Manager for its Agentic AI initiatives. You will shape the next-generation AI platform, building production-grade systems where AI agents reason, act, coordinate, and safely execute workflows.

You will work with Product, Applied Research, Design, and Engineering leadership, guiding a small team of engineers while remaining hands-on in architecture and delivery. Based in the Bay Area, this role blends technical leadership with people management to move from concept

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering and engineering leadership experience shipping large-scale systems.
Experience in AI, ML platforms, LLMs, or agentic architectures preferred.
Strong foundations in scaling distributed systems and production-grade infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Lead technical direction for a meaningful area of the agentic AI platform.
Hands-on when needed to unblock the team and design scalable AI systems.
Manage and grow a small team of engineers with clear priorities and accountability.
Partner across Product, Engineering, and Applied Research to align execution with strategy.
Evaluate emerging agent frameworks and safety guardrails to create product advantage.
Establish engineering practices across design review, testing, and reliability.
