Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a Lead First Line Risk Management, Technology to coordinate audits, exams, and regulator requests across technology. You will collaborate with risk, compliance, and IT teams to assemble evidence and ensure timely responses.

The role emphasizes identifying controls, maintaining documentation, and supporting audit readiness while partnering with diverse leaders to protect the integrity of our systems.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience leading external exams and audits (OCC, CFPB, PCI DSS, SOC2, etc.) and internal audits.
• Experience in security, governance, risk management, IT audit, information technology, or related.
• Knowledge of key laws, regulations, frameworks (including the CRI framework) and guidance in the financial services industry.
• Experience with Onspring, Jira, ServiceNow or other GRC/workflow tools.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal and external audits and regulatory exams: coordinate materials and obtain leadership approval to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure relevance and completeness of provided materials against requests and provide revisions as needed.
• Continuously identify efficiencies in coordination with Compliance Regulatory Relations Program.
• Implement program/process/documentation changes when laws or learnings necessitate updates.
• Assist in comparing controls, policies, procedures and docs to regulations and exam manuals.
• Design and conduct audit readiness activities to reduce findings.
• Identify and archive materials likely to be requested for audits and exams.
• Review updates to policies and systems and recommend changes.
• Complete projects supporting regulators and the compliance department.
• Regularly report status to leadership including issues.
• Track remediation status by owners of exam findings and report.
• Support risk management and protection of systems and data.
