Palmdale Regional Medical Center is seeking an ER Technician to support Emergency Department care under RN/MD supervision. You will assist with direct and indirect patient care, ensuring smooth patient flow and adherence to planned care.

The role requires active Basic Life Support, CPI within 30 days, and either CA EMT/CNA/Medical Assistant credentials or RN school progress with clinical coursework. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is essential.

• One year experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association.
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
• CA EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required -OR- Currently enrolled in RN program with successful completion of 2 semesters of clinical coursework.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Position Description

Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services the ER Technician is responsible to administer patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Follows the plan of care set by the registered nurse and/or physician, managing the individual needs of the patient with regards to their age and clinical diagnosis. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department in order to ensure and maintaining smooth patient flow. The E.R. Technician has specialized skills and knowledge in Emergency Care for all patients from infancy through geriatric.
